Singular nouns
name one person, place, or thing.Plural nouns name more than one person, place, or thing.
Making Plurals
some nouns ending in f or fe, change the f or fe to v and add es
A pronoun is a word that takes the place of a noun.
Example: Mr. Smith wanted to take his son fishing.
An antecedent is the noun for which the pronoun stands.
Example: Mr. Smith wanted to take his son fishing.

Be careful not to confuse contractions with pronouns.
Example: Its = it is, theyre = they are, youre = you are
Diagramming sentences
In an imperative sentence, the subject is always you.
Example: Obey your parents.
