Star Students

2007~2008

Each month one student will be selected from each

first grade class as the “Star Student of the Month.”

This special award is based on attitude, cooperation,

completion of assignments, friendship to others and

good behavior.

The star student from each first grade class will

be announced at the end of the month in a special

assembly in the classroom with our principal. The star

student of the month will be honored with a certificate,

star student hat ,star necklace, and will have his/her

picture on the “Star Student of the Month” display

outside the first grade rooms.

We encourage all children to do their best at all

times and this is one way to reward first graders for

a job well done.

How To Be A Good First Grader

We raise our hands to speak.

We sit quietly at our seats.

We use voices soft and sweet.

We keep our places tidy and neat.

We are helpful, friendly and fair.

We take turns and willingly share.
