Oreo Stacking Project

Our school participated in the Oreo Cookie Stacking Internet Project put on by Techno Spuds web site.

The object of the project was to see who could stack the highest amount of Oreos before they tumbled.

Students were encouraged to estimate how many Oreos they thought they would be able to stack and then graph their results after they stacked.

Students were NOT to use anything to stablize the cookie and they were NOT able to adjust cookies as they stacked. (i.e....once they had placed the cookie and their hand had left the cookie, they could NOT adjust that cookie again.

Elizabeth stacked the highest with 22 cookies and received an Oreo mug for her good work. The highest amount of Oreos stacked in our school wide project was 30. The average for our class was 16 cookies stacked.

We ate fresh Oreo cookies with a glass of milk after we completed our project.

The children all wore black and white and looked like Oreo cookies!!
