First Grade Weekly Bible Verses

The boys and girls in first grade will be memorizing a Bible verse each week. They are given the Bible verse on Monday and practice it all week in class. They receive a sticker on their Bible chart on Friday when they recite it from memory. The Bible verses have a monthly theme. Each month we have a longer Bible scripture and it is important to learn it also.

September-Obedience

The Lord's Prayer

Week 1 Children obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Eph. 6:1

Week 2 Honor your father and mother, that it may be well with you, and that you may live long on the earth. Eph. 6:2-3

Week 3 Even a child is known by his doings. Pro. 20:11

Week 4 Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Pro. 22:6

October-Friendship

12 Disciples

Fruits of the Spirit

Our Daily Prayers

We always start and end the day with prayer. Prayer is a very important part of our daily first grade life. Each day we have a different prayer leader and they lead the class in all the various activities. The children love to be the prayer leader for the day. They get to choose the prayer before lunch and lead the class. Our prayers can be from our heart or memorized prayers that lift up the name of Christ. We would like to share a few of our memorized prayers.
