Each month our first grade class studies several famous authors as part of our literature class. We try to read as many of the books written or illustrated by that author, as well as learn interesting facts about the author. It’s fun to watch the children as they learn about the different authors and compare the writing and illustrating styles. Please go to Kids Sites to open up these author sites.

We
love to read in first grade!
Looking
unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that
was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at
the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:2
