ABOUT THE AUCTION

When you arrive at the auction, you need to obtain a bidding number. Your entire family may use the same number for bidding on items at both the silent and vocal auctions.

Please remember that the intent of the Auction is to raise money for Christian Center. While we all like to find a “bargain”, keep in mind that buying a gift certificate worth $25 to a place we would spend $25 anyway, doesn’t really cost us anything, but it does benefit Christian Center since all the items have been donated.

WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO BE GENEROUS IN YOUR BIDDING!

SILENT AUCTION

Silent auction bids will begin at 11:00 am.

A yellow Bidding Sheet is displayed for each item in order by category. If you wish to bid on a particular item, write your bidding number and the amount of your bid on the yellow bidding sheet on the next line.

Each bidder will enter a new bid higher than the previous bid on the next line.

BIDS ARE IN WHOLE DOLLAR AMOUNTS ONLY.

PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO MINIMUM BID INFORMATION!

The Silent Auction will end at 12:30 pm. No bids may be made AFTER the buzzer sounds and everyone must exit the gym. If a bid is made after the buzzer, that BID WILL NOT BE COUNTED.

Silent Auction items may be paid for after the 1:30 pm when the bids have been collected.

The runners will retrieve your items after they have been purchased.

WE ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO ATTEND THE LIVE AUCTION IN THE

STUDENT MINISTRIES CENTER AND BID ON SOME GREAT

ITEMS WHILE YOUR SILENT AUCTION BIDS ARE TALLIED.

LIVE AUCTION

The live auction will begin at 12:45 pm in the Student Ministries Center.

To bid on items, you may either raise your hand or hold up your bidding number. The auctioneer will determine the highest bid.

Live Auction items may be paid for in the gym no sooner than ½ hour after they have been sold. This gives the Live Auction Assistants time to bring the final bidding slip for each item to the gym after the item has been sold.

AUCTION ITEMS MAY BE PAID FOR BY CASH, CHECK, VISA, MC OR DISCOVER

Values set forth on items are donor stated values or estimates. According to Federal tax rules,

only the amount exceeding that value or estimate may be declared as a donation. See your tax preparer for more information.
